Doubt Thou The Stars Are Fire

Doubt thou the sun doth move...

*Note*
Yes, Professor Van Helsing is being written as a woman. I have my reasons. Her name is Amelia, and this is set before the events of Dracula. She's a young doctor living in Amsterdam after just having successfully passed her examinations. Her father died several years prior to this story, leaving in his daughter's possession his journal, chronicling his encounters with all manner of supernatural beings. This Van Helsing is not a Steampunked version like the character in the Van Helsing movie, nor is she a wizened old man as is seen in other films. She's a woman doctor in the Victorian era, and they did exist although they were rare and had to work hard to be taken seriously. She's a character that is very dear to me, and I felt the need to write more of her story. So... there it is.

I intend for this to be a private journal.

Because, quite frankly, there are things I need to get down in writing that I don't necessarily feel like sharing with others.

Writing helps me to make sense of some things, and this time I'm going to keep them to myself.

Note:
Username from Hamlet's letter to Ophelia...
Doubt thou the stars are fire,
Doubt thou the sun doth move,
Doubt truth to be a liar,
But never doubt I love.
